JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

Title: Fire Protection Technician           

Reports To: Regional Manager

Location: Lake Winola, PA

Job Summary:

To inspect, service and install pre-engineered kitchen fire suppression systems and inspect, recharge and service fire extinguishers.  At times overtime may be required.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Performs varied mechanical duties.
2. Installs and inspects pre-engineered kitchen suppression systems.
3. Recharge and service fire extinguishers.

4.            Install and or change the layout fire protection piping in a facility per NFPA standards and authority having jurisdiction.  Uses blueprints, company handbook and must conform to local building codes and safe operating practices.
5.            Uses scissors, boom lifts and ladders for inspections.
6.            Some heavy lifting.
7.            Any other task as deemed necessary by management.
8.            Work in conjunction with other trades to coordinate installation on projects, specifically HVAC, electrical and plumbing. 

QUALIFICATIONS

1.            Have knowledge of and experience installing pre-engineered kitchen fire suppression systems.
2.            High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
3.            Valid state motor vehicle license to utilize company vehicles with acceptable driving record.
4.            High school diploma or GED required.
5.            Certification required to service and install fire extinguishers.
6.            Certification required to service and install fire kitchen suppression systems.
10.            Ability to utilize Microsoft compatible computer for maintaining schedule and paperwork.
11.            Positive, customer friendly attitude.
